Olmstead, 81, of Fort Dodge, IA, passed away July 19, 2017 at the Fort Dodge Villa Care Center. Funeral services were Saturday, July 22 at First United Methodist Church. Burial was at the Otho Cemetery. Laufersweilers-Sievers Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.Betty is survived by her husband, John, of Fort Dodge; son, Johnny; daughter, Danita “Dee” Burbank (Mark Alcorn) of Fort Dodge; grandchildren: Jeff and Teresa Burbank; Lora and Chris Novencido; Noelle Olmstead; great grandchildren: Ryan, Conner and Katie Burbank: Fisher, Josie, Sydney, Muira Novencido: and brother-in-law Ed (Linda) Olmstead of South Bend, IN.She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Bessie (Irvine) Hayes; brother, Charles Jr.; sisters: Frances and Charlotte Hayes.Betty Lee Hayes was born Jan. 12, 1936 in Sparrows Point, MD. She attended school and graduated from Sparrows Point High School in 1952. Betty went on to nursing school. She attended Church Home and Hospital and John Hopkins in Baltimore, MD.In 1953, Betty met John while he was serving in the Army, he was stationed in Aberdeen, MD. The couple was united in marriage on May 20, 1956 in Elkton, MD, and moved to Iowa to establish their home in Fort Dodge.Betty enjoyed selling at Craft and Flea markets where her and John made many friends. Betty also enjoyed the outdoors and camping. She will be greatly missed.

She was born on February 15, 1920 in Whitewright, Texas to the late Marvin Binkley Bryant and Eula Sears Bryant. Robbie attended Madill schools and lived in Madill her entire life. She married Paul Wendyl Watts on April 14, 1935 in Sulphur, Oklahoma and he preceded her in death on September 19, 1987. Robbie and Wendyl owned and operated Madill National Bank and Madill Bank & Trust for several years. In her younger years she enjoyed traveling, and attending her grandchildren’s activities. Robbie was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church in Madill where she was very active with the youth, singing in the choir, and taught Sunday school. As she grew older she loved playing bridge, and going to Landmark Bank to visit. Even though she lost her eyesight as she grew older she recognized the voices of her friends and family, but most of all her great grandchildren which brought a big smile to her face.      She is survived by her son: Bryant Watts and wife Sharron, Madill, Oklahoma; grandchildren:  Laura Watts Lawrence, Shannon Watts Newton and husband Nate, M.B. Watts and wife Sarah, Rob Watts, Brad Watts and wife Ashley; great grandchildren: Mckenzie Brown and husband Trey, Chase Brooks, Shelby Newton, Macy Watts, Tatum Newton, Tanner Lawrence, Bryant Watts III, Ella Watts, Evan Kate Watts; great great granddaughter: Makena Brown.Robbie was preceded in death by her son; Robert Watts, grandson; Paul Wendyl Watts II, granddaughter Robbie Brooks.Visitation will be Monday, July 24, 2017 from 1 p.m. to 9  p.m. Services will be Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at 10 a.m. at the Watts Memorial Chapel, Madill. Dr. Joe Potter will officiate the service. Music arranged by Sarah Watts. Interment will be at the Woodberry-Forest Cemetery, Madill.  Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home, Madill. She was born Jan. 27, 1949, in Murray, to Clara Waldrop Humphrey and Ed Griffin. Ann was a 1967 Murray High School graduate and later completed her studies at Murray State University, Florida State University and Tulane University. She spent more than 20 years helping patients as a licensed master social worker in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. During her years in Florida, she was a member of the Junior League and the Kidney Foundation of South Florida. She continued her studies at the University of Miami, where she received a master of business administration degree. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Murray.She was preceded in death by her father and her grandparents, H.T. Waldrop and Delano Waldrop. Ann is survived by her mother, Clara Humphrey of Murray; a stepsister, Nancy Humphrey Gray and husband Davis of Louisville, and their daughter Maria Gray; a stepbrother, Dr. Ben Humphrey and wife Margaret of Columbus, Ohio, and their children Matthew Humphrey and wife Suzie, Micah Humphrey and wife Kelly and Theadora Humphrey; two cousins, Mary Warren Swann Sanders and husband Steven of Murray and Willie Belle Farless of Murray; two stepdaughters, Dr. Michelle Green Sands and husband Dr. Christopher William Sands and Jessica Green Osias, all of Memphis, Tennessee; and four stepgrandchildren, Russell William Sands, Emma Michelle Sands, Aidan Green Osias and Anna Green Osias, all of Memphis. Ann is also survived by a multitude of wonderful friends including Patricia Green Stolpe, Robert Stolpe, Tehisha Richardson, Erica Hill, Shawna Benjamin, DeeAnna Vaughn, Lindsey McDougal and Veronica Teague.The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 22, 2017, at First United Methodist Church with Dr. Rick Dye and Jim Stahler officiating. Entombment will follow in Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until the service hour at the church on Saturday, July 22, 2017.
